Additional Energy Assistance Resource: Warm Neighbors Cool Friends
The City of East St. Louis would like to share an additional energy assistance resource available to Illinois residents through Warm Neighbors Cool Friends, a program supported by the Energy Assistance Foundation.
While many households apply for LIHEAP, some residents may not qualify due to income limits. Warm Neighbors Cool Friends is designed to assist moderate-income households who may still experience financial hardship and need help paying energy bills.
Funding for the program comes from voluntary contributions made by Ameren, its customers, and coworkers. In December, Ameren provided a $2 million contribution to strengthen the assistance available to Illinois customers.
